Title: Clutch is stuck
Post by: bugcool on July 28, 2007, 03:16:02 PM
I took off the plate on the motor where the adjustment for the clutch is, the nut locking that grub screw was loose so i turned the screw untill i felt presure then backed it out 1/4 turn.
Now the clutch is real stiff and is stuck on, i took the hole side sproket cover off to have a look, so there is not a thing applying clutch and put it in first gear and turned the back wheel, it turns ezy & theres no pistons going up & down so clutch is on.
  What have i done.

i would go back to the adj nut and go from there, did you have the pressure plate off? if so make sure the splines on it line up with the basket otherwise your clutch will seem like it is  disengaged like you have described .... good luck

I took the screw out 4 turns so it wasn't touching the pushrod , then put in gear & the wheel still turns, i think i've bent the pushrod on the clutch side, is that possibble.
