No, just a tank.
Hmmm... I kinda want it... but I don't want the dents... and not sure how well bondo would work to fill em in. I plan on getting the bike repainted anyway, so that's not a big deal.. I could use a rust free tank..
I guess you get one of those serious serious serious bombs they sometimes sell for 4th of july. Light one, drop in the tank and close the cap. That explosion may pop the dents ....
i've heard of guys putting inner tubes in them and inflating them to push out dents, but i think the gs tank is a little thick for that.
01 is thinner than 89-00. Explosives baby ...
Cool.
Srinath.
Just make sure the gas is all out and you stand far away, shrapnel travels pretty amazing distances :cookoo:
Dude ... gas is like the starter for our experiment.
Cool.
Srinath.
OK, here's what you do. Go to your local hunting store. Buy a case of cans of black powder. Pack it as tight as possible into the tank. Find the longest wick possible. light. run like hell.
I've got a flak vest I'll donate for whoever wants to try this. All I ask is for a video of the explosion..........whenever you eget out of the hospital........or your family gets around to taking care of your debts :cookoo: :cookoo:
Well ... my idea is to pack like a small walnut sized device and strategically locate it in the tank, then run light it and like hell ... after closing the cap tight.
It aint no use to you if the tank is in shreds. Now a tank that has swelled 30% while still having the same seams ... that worth some $$$ ...
Cool.
Srinath.
Mine would be so much funnier though :icon_rolleyes:
Actually could work..........hmmmmmmm. I think rifle grade black powder would be the best bet. Just have to compress it. Find a shell that will withstand the pressure needed to pack it tightly while not causing harmful shrapnel. ping-pong ball could work. :icon_confused:
Or you could just use a stud welder and slider hammer like a sane person...
yeah, ummmm you haven't been on this forum very long, have you???? There are like 3 sane people and we try to get them banned :thumb:

just sit back and enjoy the show, a sweet video might come from this :thumb:
It's being sold as is. If you want to buy it and blow it up for a video, then by all means please do. However, I am not going to go through the effort of pulling anything out. I just want it out of the garage.

Man stud welder - yes the first sign of trouble and people call me ...
Anyway, the dent puller type sheite ... works very very poorly. You still have much of the dent, the damn thing looks like sheite and you have to bondo and paint.
Now, a tank with a explosion inside it can well be the silicone boobie of the dent pulling world. Nothing like a boobie pumped full capacity that it looks like its pneumatic ... she moves and you see the seams in the damn plastic bag ... :thumb: ... that could be your tank ... now imagine that ... ... Oh yea, extra gallon capacity ... booya.
Cool.
Srinath.

nopers i got it :P
Stud welders Work Great.I have one. :thumb: Just have to keep the Ground ring Super Clean to keep it from Arching.
I tried Air Power one time on an Aluminum Triumph tank that I got from England. It probably would have been OK if I hadn't went to 25PSI.10-15 Pounds would have Probably been Plenty.
