I just figured I would see if I could post from this thing
crackberry ftw?
yeah, this thing is cool as hell.......of course it pales in comparison to my mom's iPhone that thing is just crazy :o
I just got a new phone too. It can make calls AND text message, but I only use it for calls. It cost me $10 :flipoff:
I can watch TV on mine :flipoff: :flipoff:
I don't think of myself as a Luddite, but seriously... why?
I guess I can understand the appeal of having an internet browser in your pocket, but some of that stuff is just ridiculous. I just don't feel the need to spend $100 or so every month for that service
With 1400 anytime minutes and unlimited nights/weekends and unlimited Data my monthly bill will be under 70 after tax :thumb: AT&T does military discount on plans of 19% :thumb:
yea the iphone is awesome. I finally got mine and its sweet.

remind me what vnc is again ?
Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a remote display system which allows you to view a computing 'desktop' environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures. This package contains a client which will allow you to connect to other desktops running a VNCserver.

kinda like vpn :)
NO need to ViNC for me. RDP to my home server and I have a WAP portal server on my i5 at work so I can manage it from anywhere I get phone signal. No more slave to the laptop :thumb:
I wasn't that impressed with the iPhone. I have the Cingular 8525 :rockon

I'm a Mac fan :thumb: Great product, that's why their stock has increased 40% in the last 4 months :thumb: But, i will agree it is more toy than function.

its funn till you need it to work or need to open an excel file or word file.
there's a mini-suite coming out soon of modified office programs :icon_mrgreen: still the touch screen is a little aggravating to type on. So it's not a great 'work' tool, but it is killer for playing around
i gots a N95 5 megapixal cam ,. yes please :thumb:

Whats the 8525 down to now? I was going to get the 8125 but they were on the tail end of phasing them out so I had to fork over the bucks for the 8525. I think mine was right at $500 dollars. U.S.
Damn Crackberry had a spasm last night and deleted it's browser outta nowhere   Went to AT&T this morning and they had a new one in my hand inside of 10 minutes......... :thumb: So far, I have nothing but good to say about AT&T, their customer service is exceptional and the coverage is great compared to T-mobile. BTW, I hate T-Mobil, I've always had issues with anything getting done and been phoneless for weeks at a time while they did warrantee exchanges   The last straw was when I called to Buddha Loves You about a late fee because they never e-mailed me or sent a hard copy of my bill even though I was enrolled for both. I got frustrated because the guy I was talking to obviously didn't care and wound up telling me 'chill the f%$k out and stop being an @$$hole' I flipped out. Anyway after talking to his boss, they let me out of my contract 9 months early and waived my bill and fees. I hope that guy gets fired.
SO: AT&T=GOOD TMOBILE=SORRY BASTARDS

Office is available for MacOS, as is NeoOffice which is a free clone. Both work quite well. Also, new Macs can run Windows under Parallels!

Yeah, i've got the full office suite on my mac.......it's just not out for the iPhone yet, from what I've heard.

Editing any sort of complex document on something like an iPhone would be a bloody disaster, IMHO. I'd much rather have a basic office suite/editor/viewer, but one that's GOOD and takes account of the iPhone's limitations.

I too have a Pearl. (Had it since they came out.)
It's an awesome little machine.
I had the T-Mobile MDA before it and hated it.
It was slow as all get out.
The BB messenger is cool too.
I only have like 3 people on mine but it's really handy.
I like my Pearl so far. :thumb: I haven't played with BB Messenger, though. TeleNav Maps is pretty nice and I'm sure it will come in handy. :thumb:

Oh yeah.
The BB maps program on it is INCREDIBLE.
Very accurate and works like a dream.
I've used it a few times on road trips in my "cage" and it's awesome.
Not as good as a GPS but better than nothing and faster than thumbing through a map + has more information.
Typing is getting pretty intuitive on here.
Anyone know of an IRC client for blackberry's Pearl??
I was playing with an Iphone at the apple store today and i must say that it rocks.. GStwin is readable.. i was browsing GSTwin however inputting passwords is kinda a Buddha Loves You!
But otehrwise its hella cool.
what is the meaning of this?

I couldn't afford a Blackberry so I bought a Dingleberry. It's a piece of crap.
Only things I don't like about the iphone: sucks battery and gets dirty quick as hell.

It is in reference to the fact that I own a squid bike. Or so many people feel.
