I am about to purchase a 95 gs500e with 10,000 miles on it is there anything I should know? Or look for?
thanks
john
rust in the tank, common problem. Otherwise look for anything you would on any used bike: evidence of crashing, worn bits, etc.
The GS is notorious for soft front stock suspension so progressive springs ($60 or less) are in order. easy install on my page.
Otherwise the GS engine is bombproof. And welcome!

Look for the taxis on 95 near Callowhill. They are assassins ;)
Good luck with your GS and welcome to the board.
Possums! :o And what Pablo and Bbanjo said. ;)
Welcome!
 enjoy, look at the frame rails, welds etc for damage or rust look at the finish on the frame for cracks etc. and teach yourself or learn how to work on it much more rewarding (and cheaper) when you can do your own maint. and repairs. this site can help you with common repairs. and how-to's :thumb:
