If you've been running your bike regularly up until now, one week wont prevent your bike from starting up.  You might want to consider putting your battery on a tender.

YES, EVERY OTHER DAY.  NOW WHAT SHOULD  DO  WITH  THE BATTERY.

Your battery should be fine if it's already in good shape.  I would suggest getting a battery tender for it if you routinely park it for extended periods of time, or if you plan on storing it for the winter at some point.

hey, no need to yell, take it easy!

One week should not be a problem at all.  If the battery dies within a week, it probably needed to be replaced anyways.

what hes saying is that while you are gone your battery might have tendancy to slowly die.  if you put it on  a tender then it wont be dead when you get back.  Plus the more you have to recharge your battery from dead the less it will last.   If you are worried about weather and its outside  cover it.    Or park it under something.  Just incase it rains and you get water in your tank.

if you can get a tender then take the battery out and put it somewhere safe.  Do not let it sit on concrete though.  it will drain itself out that way.

If your bike is in good condition, you shouldn't need to do anything unless you are leaving it for a month or more, IMHO
