Title: Braced swingarm
Post by: ice77 on August 05, 2007, 06:35:01 PM
I'd like to think that the turbo adds enough power to warrant having this but I made it purely for cosmetic reasons. What do ya's reckon? The frame will be done in a matching color soon too.

I was having a look on the ASF forum & saw the pic on there, looks cool.  :thumb:

Are you going to keep the white with that frame colour?

What else have you done with it?

Quote...where...&...how much...?
I made it myself, total cost $11. Had the materials laying around in the shed and did most of it at work.

QuoteWhat else have you done with it?
Where do I start?

Fuel injected, turbo, RGV front end, R1 race glass tail, custom subframe, custom braced swingarm, custom handlebar risers with flat drag bars, Honda fireblade foot pegs, custom headlights. Currently working on mounts for 2.5inch LCD monitor and rear view camera.

I have a proper list somewhere, but you get the idea.

Dude you are a champion the turbo the brace the injection. Genius  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
Can you post anymore pics and a break down of what you have done to fit the turbo. I did have link before but seemed to have lost it, also how is the motor going I seem to remember it had about 90000 ks on the clock.

Thanks for your kind words Luke. Since I've had it running with the injection and turbo set up it's only done about 60k's. I keep coming up with all these silly ideas for modifications that seem to keep the bike in a thousand pieces in the shed. Your right though it had done 90,000klm before the turbo went on, which was good cause I didn't have to worry about lowering the compression to run the turbo. After 90,000klm it was low enough. lol.

I'll find the links for you and post them here.
