Title: GS500F 2007 suspension adjustment
Post by: GS2007Nubie on August 06, 2007, 03:36:01 PM
I bought a new GS500F 2007 and am trying to adjust suspension (make it stiffer) so, that it won't feel so squishy on the rear end when I am carrying a passenger.  The M.O.M. pictures a section to adjust but, I can't locate it on the bike.  I found a circular colar type adjustment at the base of the frame with the same numbering as the M.O.M. pic.  Is this right location?

yes on the shock there should be a collar where you can insert your "shock wrench"  and adjust.  Its  a pain do to lack of space.

Hey Thanks NastyNate!  I was afraid that was the place because there's only room for a couple fingers.  At least I'm sure now.

The 'tool' may be smarter than you. OK, I'm playing, but it's very difficult to use.

It's much easier to use a LARGE screwdriver or 1/4" (long) extension from your toolbox.

You can turn the adjuster all the way around - You'll know when you've reached "1" because it will SPROOOOING !! as it drops from "7" down to "1".
