Title: gs 500 engine mounts?
Post by: jonnycabs1861 on August 07, 2007, 08:16:48 AM
Im getting bad vibration on my 97 GS 500 & was wondering if it was because the engine mounts didnt have rubber bits on it?
Just that at low speed its fine untill you get to around 40/50 mph then after that I get loads of vibration it feels like its doing 90mph & being stangled plus its running a bit rich could this be a air filter problem?
Cheers John

Does the vibration change with engine speed, or road speed?

If the vibration changes with engine rpm, I would start with a valve check and carb synch.  If it changes with road speed, remove and balance your wheels.
