Title: New-to-me.
Post by: afi1 on August 08, 2007, 06:13:47 PM
Last Tuesday I picked up a K1 GSX-R1000.  Here are some pics, but they are when I had just picked it up.  Since then I installed a set of Hotbodies flush mount front turn signals, a Hotbodies undertail, Galfer braided brake lines and EBC HH pads, Race Railz, grips, and changed the plugs and oil/filter.  The body is in the booth getting sprayed a custom pearl black as we speak.  I took it out to Jackson, SC. and ran a 10.76 at 134.8 mph.  Not to shaby for a horrable reaction time( I'm not even going to post it!) and not  having raced since my accident.  Let me know what y'all think!

Ever heard of Clark's hill lake or as some call it: Lake Therman?  It's about 30 miles away from Augusta.  I know a few E.O.D. guys, you'll love it!

meh, it's just for a re-up.   I  was dumb and decided to wait after I got my 214 and check things out with the other branches.....less than a week after I had 214 in hand I got hit by a truck........   Civilian Doc just cleared me which means I get to convince some crusty old fucker who couldn't make a living in private practice now     I'm about 70% dexterity and 50% strength in my thumb but I think I can fake it :thumb:

Here are some pics. We got the body, brake lines and all on today; we also cut down the can and wraped the mid pipe. Now it's all ready for the beach! I know, I'm cutting off those big wheel grips tomorow...

Finally, some day light pictures.  Please note that the paint hasn't been buffed yet, and it hasn't been long enough to start waxing it; that being said, it looks great!
