i read up on it, it says 5- 20 miles lol, hes trying to upgrade to a 35-100 mile battery though, not very conventional if you live 10 miles away or more from work. unless u could charge it there of course

That's pretty slow for an electric motorcycle. The 9 second 0-60, not the other one.
Electric motors can develop max torque right away instead of having it in the mid or upper RPM range. So theoretically you could make one very fast, without it being huge in size. If you did a max speed run, though, you'd reduce the range to something pretty much unusable.

The real problem with a conversion is the chassis is usually heavy to start with and one needs to add battery mounts . This just keeps putting on the pounds and effectively killing the range.
Now a carbon fiber GS chassis/swingarm would be the tickett!
