See the little 'picture' 2nd from teh left of 'tags' ?

Well, you host your images somewhere like flickr, picasa, photobucket, or whereever and paste the URL of your hosted image inside the <blah>HERE<blah>.

Then everyone can see it.

Hmmm, I wonder if the FAQ covers thiss.......

yeah, interested in your thoughts and pic of the exhaust also.... I need more noise  :icon_razz:

anyone know, seen, heard about, etc the Staintune Exhaust for the GS?

Staintune Exhaust GS500 K5 K6 K7 (http://www.staintune.com.au/exhausts/suzuki/Suzuki%20GS500%20Muffler%20SUMSGS50%2005.htm)

looks alright but having never heard one, bit hesitant to jump in...... also does an after market exhaust effect warranty?

.

my new Staintune came into the shop just today zephler. planning to install it this weekend so I'll post something once I'm done.

just so you're aware, it's a slip-on, not a full system. the flange and clamp are all-in-one too, so the install should be a snap.

If something happens with the bike (engine wise) and you bring it in for warranty repair the dealer will probably try to tell you tha your warranty is void because of the exhaust. Remember the dealer has no say in whether or not the warranty is void, only the issuer of the warranty can do that (Suzuki). They must also prove that the exhaust caused the condition you are trying to have fixed. Just make sure you cover your bases, re jet and make sure it is tuned properly. This is all covered under the Magnuson Moss Act.

I would have thought that the same Jardine exhaust that fits the 04 - 06 also fit the 07 ???

Anyway here's a link to a good bit of info and a few pics I took of my Jardine on my 05.

ahhh yes, depends who you know ... the Staintune is AUS$700.00 RRP - got mine for AUS$625.00 from the dealer where I bought the bike. the head salesman is a mate, so I've been lucky and get charged at almost staff rates.

on the re-jet - as far as the Staintune is concerned, no re-jet is required. I rang them directly a few months back and checked with them. this is probably an exception though. this particular can was designed for Mrs Staintune's GS500, and meant to be trouble free.

also zephler, I'm not sure about warranty - my bike has lapsed so I wasn't concerned. I believe it DOES affect new bike warranty, but I'm no expert.

Zephler, Staintune are a good unit & since you don't need to rejet, you shouldn't have a problem.
Ring Kesseners & ask.

I have the Jardine RT-1 on my 07F.  Love it. :thumb:  Sounds great.  Rejet was easy enough and I went with the K&N drop-in for simplicity.

My Jardine cost less shipped from america then the cost of a staintune here by memory it was $580 posted to sydney then came the filter and dyno tune thats where the extra money came in but was well worth it for the performance and sound difference the staintune could not justify its price if it was $300-$350 maybe but not up to $600 its a rip off :thumb:

My Jardine exhaust cost me $319.95 US. Shipping was $78 US from www.a-zpowersellers.com

They accept Australian Credit Cards and PayPal.

With our current exchange rate of 1AUS = 0.82US  you can get the system shipped to you for under $500 Australian!
