Title: Odometer knob screw size?
Post by: pyro on August 14, 2007, 09:47:09 AM
What size threads are on the odometer knob screw? Smallest thing I got is #4-40 and it's too big. Is it a #2-56?

I do not have any GS gauges to check the actual size but it will be metric threads.

5.4mm long x 1.9 mm diameter -- call it 2 mm x 5.5 mm

Thread pitch....waaaay tiny

Dgyver's right, it is a metric screw. You will have better luck tearing apart an floppy disk drive than Lowe's or Home Depot.

You can order it from Suz or any of their parts sellers.

The part number may be found in a thread here if you search.
