Title: Streetfighter/Naked front turn signals- give me your input
Post by: erbilabuc on August 14, 2007, 03:57:21 PM
06 grey and black but turning it into a streetfighter with the acerbis cyclops headlight and fatbar (handlebars) kit. only thing is that the acerbis headlight doesnt come with turn signals. Anyone care to share any suggestion on what I should do for turn signals for the front? the acerbis doesnt come with the metal brackets, it uses rubber straps for the mounting points.

thanks guys

kind of an old thread, but since no one else has jumped on it...

The Acerbis headlights do come with rubber straps for mounting, and that generally creates a problem for turn signals, but with my old headlight set up here is what I did:

Those rubber straps go into two pieces of plastic on the back of the headlight. Drill into that piece. I made a whole big enough to fit the bolt on aftermarket turn signals, fed the wire through and tightened down the bolt. Of course I did this off the bike, then wired it up, then installed the headlight (makes things go easier).

If that doesn't work, you can look into getting "bar-end" signals which they sell on ebay.
