UPS brought my new boots last night :) ...Cruiserworks, tour model. Soft, breatheable, totally waterproof. I Got lucky. Fit is good :thumb: , wore 'em around the house for 1 1/2 hours while doing paperwork this morning, (quite a sight, gym shorts, T-shirt, and motorcycle boots!) with no problems, and, just came back from a short ride. Can't wait for rain/cool weather to really test 'em, but I think these are gonna be one of the best pair of boots I've had. They're not cheap, but the company stands behind em 100%. Just thought I'd pass this along, as we're always looking for a heads-up on good gear.

Or the squid ghey pride parade...
j/k...couldn't resist.
Hmmmm, interesting response...a bit insecure and maybe homophobic???
j/k couldn't resist :nana:
Do you have a picture or a link for the boots?

You just wanna see the ghey pride parade outfit.
Actually, no ... I'm just interested in a set of waterproof boots. Where to buy, how much, etc.
Nice try though!
Sure, Kerry, here ya go:
www.cruiserworks.com
Wore 'em all day today...walking, riding...really comfortable.
Like I said, they're not cheap, but usually, you get what you pay for.
Whew - $219 is a little pricey! Still, real comfort is hard to come by.
Thanks for the link!
When you're willing to dump 180 beans into the Sidi Champ Tepor boots, all of a sudden 220 isn't too bad sounding. The Tour model is a good looking boot, but my choice would be the Men's Classic........................for a ghey Biker Parade.
Teknic makes the "Defender" riding boots that are supposedly quite comfortable and 100% waterproof. Last time I checked, they retailed for $169. I really need to get me some.

touche'
I got the "new enough" May special Tecknic boots and they are great....extremely comfortable...and only $69!!
Wayne
I got the same boots Wayne did. They are very comfortable and as a bonus would look fine at any ghey pride parade.

And they would last years with some care. They even offer resoling. I've got a pair of hiking boots that I paid a similar amount for 10 years ago... I still use them for cold weather hikes or when the weather gets pretty gnarly with snow. If you care for them, a very good investment!
My friend has a pair of JR Powerglide boots. For a little less than half the price of the Cruiserworks... They suck! not waterproof, the fit in the ankle and shin isn't right, the sole is sorta separating from the shoe, no safety toe box and more... and only after a few months :( Better to spend more and take care of what you got... I think the cruiserworks would be a much better choice than racer boots, can wear them out in public :)
What kind of manufacturer doesn't put a safety box in the toe? :? I might be missing a digit or two if I wasn't wearing steel toed boots.
A buddy of mine from the office got the Teknic Defenders also and loves them so far. He's worn them in the rain 1 time so far I think. Did about 12 miles on the highway, 60-70 mph. He said his feet were 100% dry afterwords.
