I won this tail section on ebay today for a pretty fair price but it doesn't have the cut out for the tail light. just wondering the easiest way to cut that part out for my tail light. thanks a bunch

Dremel. :thumb:
I'd remove the tail light and use it to make a pattern.
ps: I was "watching" that auction. I decided against the tail piece and got his fender. :P
i thought about getting the fender too, as an extra but decided against it. thanks i'll try that when i get it.
Yup, dremel. And a steady hand.
OR, you could get one of those long oval LED universal replacements :dunno_white: you'd just have to drill a few holes real quick and errors would be easier to cover up :thumb:
please please please don't put our ugly stock taillight in that thing, get something that looks awesome, nows the time before you do any cuttin
i've got a R1 installed already....
good girl
I wish I'd known that was you.I wouldn't have made a bid.Someone else ran it up a bit.I didn't watch it till the end.

Thats why you should post your e bay account name in the buy/ trade forum and give everyone a heads up or call dibbs... ITs saves you time money and frustration. Theres a lot of us out there trying to upgrade or keep our babies running.
Heather i have this tail..i like it a lot..even the one that has the cut out doesn't fit properly..make a pattern but cut it small...its better to have to cut and sand more than having to try and patch a gap.. I used a Dremel and it worked well then sanded it down plus a little body filler.
thanks pastrana.....i'll do that. be back soon hopefully. let you know how it goes.

been some wars over this...didn't want that right now.
i was just bored & thought it would be neat if i could get it cheap. maybe if someone really needs something or just wants it real bad, they should post when they bid to call dibs & keep the other respectable members of this board form driving up the price. :dunno_white:
only thing is, with last minute bidding on ebay (which I am very guilty of) if the person that has called dibs high bid is $50 less than what you want to pay for it and it goes for alot less than what you are willing to pay, then everyone looses. Trust me, it has happened before on this website and there have been arguements about it....trust me. i'm not the arguing type-got other stuff to deal with, so I took my chances. thanks
Your always getting all the cool stuff for your bike!

thanks crucialval....glad you think so.
