Title: A Tiny Project
Post by: ymatt11 on August 21, 2007, 04:54:06 PM
I just wanted to get some thoughts on some things I am going to do this week in the evening since its going to rain:

Remove the fender
Put the Suzuki sticker on the fairing
The rim stripes

I think the red stripe would bring out the red in the bike, I was also thinking silver, or maybe not at all....  Please excuse my awesome photoshop skills

Thanks!
Matt

What did you round it off with, just some sandpaper to make it smooth?

You don't think the red (or the stripes in general) look chincy ?

Boss500, among others, put red rimstripes on his black/red bike and, at least in my opinion, I think it looks good.

Ok that looks awesome!

Can I ask where did you get the turn signalson the front, and brake light.. I assume the signals for the rear are inside.  I was going to do the GSR mirros, but I dont think I want the holes in the fairings... ur install looks really clean.

I wish that was my bike.  It's BOSS500's, who has long since moved on to a GSX-R.  Here's a thread with some info on his mods, and if you need more info you could try PM'ing him.

I used a carpet knife(basically razor blade with handle), a sand paper, and a pocket torch to get rid of that white scruff marks that show up. worked great  :thumb:
those stripes wont look bad at all, any advise on matching a color with black/silver gs500?

How about yellow, or maybe a dark navy blue..

Copy them out into Paint, and use the bucket and drop some colors on them.. let me know what ya decide.

For black/silver, I'd go with polished rims (such as Alpha's): http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=29785.0 (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=29785.0)
