How do I go about changing to a shorter throttle?
NEVER MIND I USED SEARCH AND FOUND IT.
THANKS ANYWAY
I wanna add this.I bought a racing 1/5 throttle tube.IT"S TOO GOOD!It barely turns before the carbs are completely open.If you barely flex your wrist it has turned all the way.It is equal to a 1/6 or 1/8 turn and is almost unrideable.
Too bad Suzuki doesn't sell *just* the throttle tube. Has anybody got any experience with the Pro-Grip SCS throttle tube and what that does to your ratio? I've got a set of them in-stock at my store, so I figure I'll guinea-pig them for the experience if I don't hear anything about them. It says universal to Suzuki fit and has the grip "molded" directly to the carbon fiber throttle tube.
I've never come across what you have.A stock SV throttle tube makes the GS into a 1/5 turn.If you do something :cookoo: like I did and got a 1/5 racing SV throttle tube. You'll have some where between a 1/6 and 1/8 turn.Good for racing but a little to tight on the street.
Yeah anything over 1/5 turn is actually to much for racing also, in racing its all about *smooth* throttle control.
I will be up at Brainerd International Raceway this weekend and will see if I can snag some SV racers left over stock throttle tubes(they often swap them for 1/5 turn ones) :thumb:
BIR! I raced MX in the infield once on an AMA SBK weekend. At least, I think it was a SBK weekend, I wasn't really concentrating on the street stuff. Cool track though!
