Title: windscreen question
Post by: gs500girl on August 26, 2007, 04:50:44 AM
Any suggestions for a windscreen for my '96 gs500e?  I am looking at an F-16 smoke tinted windscreen on ebay for $70 plus shipping.  Are they easy to install?  Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

That's a nice screen. I have a tiny flyscreen and the wind protection from it is decent. The screen you have in mind should provide a good deal more.

I'm looking into mirror-tinting mine now, it seems to add a little more 'bling' from the bikes I've seen with mirrored screens. One actually caught my eye from over a mile when the sun shone on it. Maybe drivers notice weird mirror colored screens ?

Dunno, enjoy the wind protection :)

It shouldn't be a big deal if your ok with removing your head light to mount the brackets.I looked at one for my project bike, but haven't decided to run a windscreen or fairing.

thanks for the input.  I've decided to go ahead and get the F-16.  Rode 230mi today with no screen.

I have the F-16 on mine. It's easy to install and the wind protection isn't too bad.
