Title: My new rear view camera.
Post by: afi1 on August 26, 2007, 04:17:24 PM
Here are some pictures of my new rear view camra.  It was cut down to 99.99$, with a 20$ rebate, and I flirted with the fat chick at the counter and she gave me her 10% discount.  Not too bad.  It's wireless form the camra to the screen, and it's color.  The display is 2.5 inches and auto adjusts brightness, and I can mirror it, flip it and adjust the brightness manually.  Let me know what y'all think.

Alright soldier, integrity check.........

You know you really bought that so you could check for cops and check your speed at the same time, so you could know if you have to hammer the throttle a little and leave em in the dust      Just admit it.

Well since you put it so bluntly, yeah, that too.  It's a wide angle camera so I can't see too far, but it's good enouth to see blue flashing lights I guess.  I don't know though, I havn't tried it out yet.

Looks cool.  Would be awesome to try and integrate into a GPS.  Also - does the rear tire block any of the view?

It blocks it a little.  I'll probably end up moving it to a higher central point on the tail sometime, but I'm too lazy right now.

The camera is pretty well protected by the bracket that holds it to the passenger pegs.  We bent it back so it acts as a heal guard.  Plus, it's pretty small so if you're not looking for it you won't see it.  Like I said the screen is removable so I can just throw it under the seat or something.  All in all, it's not too bad for like 75$.  I'm happy with it.
