Yeah, I have a little bit, nothing near the amoun you have, just an armband I got when I was drunk as hell in Daytona a few years back and an eagle that's pretty recent. The eagle means a lot to me......

What better way to capture a temporary emotion? Tattoos! Woo hoo! :icon_rolleyes:
There are only like 5 other tatoo picture threads on here anyway. I kind of want one from time to time. But then I realize that I've never felt passionately about any one thing for more than 8 years anyway.

that I can understand, but it seems like alotta people do it just to jump on the "Im a badass wagon"
I think it's more of an expression of originality amongst young people to not get a tattoo. ;)
I like tattoos but just never got one of my own. My brothers both have, my girl has even got one. I just never found anything that I would injoy my whole life. Now that I'm older I know what I would get, just not sure if I actually want one.
I just wish some people with tatoos would throw some work out routines into the mix. You see some fat nasty people with tatoos. That is like pouring a handful of glitter over a piece of chewed bubble gum. I figure that if you take your shirt of and people are grossed out, some fadded green tatoo of an anchor isn't going to help matters much.
LOL. Let my remind all the chics not to got one on your belly :nono:.
kids do funny things to tattoos.
i get groceries at the store that owen works at..thank god i can't see hit tats :)

No doubt. A lot of people get them for the wrong reasons and will probably end up regretting them in the future. I don't know that getting tattooed is becoming so common-placed that not getting one is more orignal, but I do think that people get them too young. I have two, both of which I got before I turned 25. I don't regret either of them, but I see teenagers talking about getting one right after they turn 18, and wish they would wait until they got a little more life experience under their belt before deciding what to get. That is a bit of a generalization, but for the most part I think it holds true.
I got my first one when I was 19. I designed it myself, so it's got some personal meaning for me. My second tattoo was acutally done at the same time that my younger brother got his first tattoo. We got matching kanji on opposite shoulders that mean diligent/hardworking. It's pretty much a character trait of everyone in my immediate family, so we thought it would be appropriate. I'm designing another that I plan to have done soon.

PS - Owen, is that your family crest on your shoulder? I considered getting mine put on, but I don't think it looks cool enough. Also, what's up with the swallows?
yea thats my family crest. i think they look awesome if there done right. black and grey with good shading.
research swallows. they have a lot of amazing features about them. they one of the only birds that returns to its home nesting grround every year(like salmon) and they mate for life, unlike many other animals. They also have significance in sailing. sailors used to get them to show how many miles they traveled on the sea. though i am not a sailor ,it has significance.
the side peace are some vines my girlfriend drew up for me based on the ones on the crest. and it says respect. which should have deep meaning to many, but only does to few.
just got a new one the other day :) an alpinestar symbol outlined with a flame .. as soon as i get a camera i'll post pics :)
