ok so i was driving to my new place down the street to sign my lease at 10 45 in the morning( 15 min late, so i was kinda riding fast) and i was going around a corner that went uphill by a ditch, wasn't really paying attention i though i could just go around it since it wasn't even close to the curb. well i guess it was, just didn't see that it was. well the next thing i know my balls get smashed by my gas tank and i go bouncing in the air. didn't crash though, just hurt like really bad. the whole time im signing the papers im like in major pain trying not to pass out.
Moral of the story and valuable information, start getting used to gripping the gas tank with your legs as soon as you start riding!!!
:cookoo:
I stand up on the pegs a bit if I see it coming :icon_mrgreen:

Yee- ouch man !
BTW - you were 15 minutes late. You can't make up that time on a hayabusa, let alone the gs.
Let being late slide. No one really cares if you are. If they make a fuss, change jobs/leases/services/whatever. Only doctors and small children are worth apologizing to for being late. The rest can suck an egg.
Better late than arriving with a broken leg (at least that's how the saying goes...). "Better late than not at all", would be more correct.
ok first of all it was around a sharp corner and it was going downhill at first then when u turn it goes uphill pretty steep so how could you stand up while turning like that. second that gas tank looks really bad u sure that was your balls? u must have had like mash potatoes afterwards.
Oh those were my balls allright ,rear ended some jerk, got smushed to the tank and then 360 over the bars I went , not fun :nono:

So then the ball(s) were in his court, eh?
I learned quickly after my first day of riding, it's much easier to control the bike in a turn. After I hurt my 'balls' like you I always grip the tank.

I made several jumps like that in my biking career just stand on the steps will save the day,.by the way good that you could keep the bike under controle, saves you a lot of damage ( unfortunately not the fysical damage )
It hurt, but being full of adrenaline helped. It was my first (and so far last) accident after 3 years of riding the bike.
And to add another moral to the story , don't get cocky with experience ,always stay alert, cagers don't see us so we must see for them as well :icon_rolleyes:

In general, if you see a pothole/bump/?ditch? that you can't avoid, standing up on the pegs a bit (just a little) is a good way to avoid smashing the boys. May not be as applicable when leaning into a corner.
So Affschnozel, do you ride with a CF cod piece now to protect the twins.
 You know, we protect our upper body and legs so the cod piece might be a good idea to protect the really important stuff :)
But it's overly complicated, if you've tried to pee with a one piece leathers on after a long ride you'll understand ;)
Boxer briefs also help

the doctors around here make me wait for atleast 30 minutes to an hour every time, they should apologize to us. I agree with the children.
wow all this talk is making me hurt again.
and it was around a corner, a pretty sharp one that went up hill, i doubt anybody could have stood up around that. I just will go around it way slower when i go home now.
