hey, i'm headed north to canadia, trying to decide if i want to sell my 91 gs up here in norcal or if i want to take it to san diego to sell it before i leave for ottawa. got a couple of months but heres the skinny:
15k miles
dominator twin headlights
buell flyscreen
katana 750 rear shock
katana 750 rear wheel (with brand new mich. p.road 150/70-17)
10foot paint job (aka looks good 10 feet away)
new fork seals
i want to get as much as possible for it, i'm guessin i probably won't get that on here but it's worth a shot. i'm hoping for around $2500, i'm not solid but pretty damn firm.

I know that its not nice to price bash on here, and I have even scolded others for doing it but $2500? for your 91 ???
I think you are way off there :thumb: about $1000 off :thumb:
But good luck with the move and the sale. Sorry to see you go
I agree with Scott (First time for everything, eh?)
That's $300 more than I paid for an '02 with 4K miles, last summer..
i'm well aware that i'm way off. i'll get it off a motorcycle board though. i'm not retarded, i just need as much money as i can get. (also take into account i live in marin county, everything is far more expensive here than 90% the country...)
thanks to all who helped me, i appretiate everything.
are you moving to british columbia?
ottawa
why ottawa
prolly where that pretty girl is from. ive been to ottawa 2x (pretty place) :thumb:
ding ding.
been there once. just got back. in the 4 days i've been home the feeling of "this isn't home and this isn't my country" has gotten stronger and stronger and it continues to do so. i just wish you didn't need to have a freaking visa.
i know how you feel, born in canada to american parents. the two countries are very similar in some ways and so so different in others. but there is no other place on earth that an american can feel more at home. and the same goes for canadians in america
I've been to Toronto a few times. Beautiful city, and everyone seems friendlier than in comparable cities in the US. Ohhhh yeah, and you can't walk more than a block without running into a starbucks :cookoo:

agreed im tryin to find a way in myself. specially if hitlery gets in , jk, but am trynig to figure out this one, perhaps get a work visa or something :thumb:
i'm gathering up letters of reccomendation from all my previous employers and in contact with the two BMW (car, not bike) dealerships in the area. I'm going to head back there soon to interview in person and bring with me proof of everything i've done (from being a mechanic on a vintage BMW racing team to dismantling BMWs and porsches of all generations for autobahn parts, to being a lot manager in the service department of the oldest BMW dealership in san diego county and finally never owning anything other than a BMW as a daily driver. no, i'm not a rich kid, i worked my ass of to afford a 72 2002, 85 528e and now my 86 535i. trying to find an ix e30 somewhere in canada.) as well as all the paperwork they'd need to give me a work permit and a check for the exact amount it will cost to do all the paperwork. Then once they give me a job i'll move up there i have two options: wait a year and immigrate as a common-law partner since lisa and i will have lived together for a year or if we decide it's the right time to get married, it'll happen sooner. but right now we want to wait until we've lived together for a while to decide if we want to live together for the rest of our lives.
theres the sob story, who wants to buy the bike now?
(ps, to you nay-sayers, i already have 2 different customers scrambling for the money to buy them. they're both students so they're probably not going to be able to get the money but then again, i still haven't gotten the real rush of students yet, only the ones that bothered going to summerschool. soon i'll have the kids coming back to this partyland from their other partyland.)
OK Been to canadia, lived there 14 months, bleeh ... Toronto I 407 was amazing. Tool road, with higher toll on weekends, can you say speed run ... The rest of canadia, I could well live without. OK and here is the freaking amazing thing. Tell them you dont like canadia, and they promptly assume its the weather you dont like. You tell them OK the weather is fine. I rode my bike all winter when I had a job and there wasn't snow on the ground, and they go ... OK you're insane and we need to set you straight, but then ... I have a choice  ...
Cool.
Srinath.
well, then either the prices there are ridiculously inflated, or you know two idiots.. no offense, but I personally would never pay close to that for your bike.
My Bike was On Ebay For Around 2000 Bucks , and that was letting it go for a steal! , 1000 pounds Uk is roughly how a stock 99 would go for , im glad i didnt sell it tho :thumb:
no offense taken. i wouldn't pay that either. but then again neither of us are ignorant...
fair enough dude ,but mines 96 , less miles , cleaner ,and has about 3000 dollars worth of parts on it ,
Katana Front End ,Progressives ,Hagon Shock , New Tires ,New Everything . K and N , And A Nexxus Exhaust system
And i was asking for less then ur pretty much stock bike with new lights and new rear wheel
aaaaaaaaaand once again you people aren't taking LOCATION into consideration. if people make more money they are willing to spend more money. if douchey little rich kid is fresh into college on mommy and daddy's bank roll and wants a scoot for transportation all it takes is the right words to make him think it's what he wants.
I AGREE IT'S NOT WORTH $2500 TO ANYONE THAT KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!!! the only reason i'm admitting that in a thread that was ORIGINALLY intended on selling the bike is because all of you don't know how to keep your goddamn opinions to yourself. if i had posted this in O&E and said "hey, what do ya'll think? culd i geet twenny five hunded fo it?" then fine, spew your opinions all over the thread. THIS IS A FOR SALE FORUM! do i go to your threads and mention that i think you're asking too much? NO!
good bye and good riddance.
Dude, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Location and timing is the key to everything in a sale.
Yea , because posting on a website full of owners of GS , who know what there worth and asking 2500 for it , why waste ur breath? * sort of speak * . being u just admitted no1 here would buy it . so these rich kids u speak off would join this forum ? no , Yea good Riddence
awww.... the panties, I believe they're in a bunch..
     That or there's a little sand underneath em :thumb:
Funnyly enough , i can see the beach from my window , maybe sum Sand flew in the window or sum it , and those pantys was Bunched a lil , just i thought that post he did, lacked comman sense :thumb:
BASTARD!!! I miss the beach  and I was just there 2 days ago..............
God bless priceline for getting me a 4-star resort for $90 a night :icon_mrgreen:
