Title: wont start

bike got rained on and now it wont start. lights and indacaters work but it wen i hit the ignition nothing happens the light jsut dims thats it. i think the started shorted out..or mabey a fuse anybody got any suggestions

Let it dry out completely and try it again. You may have simply gotten wires wet. Did you hear any 'pop' sound when you turned it on or tried to start it. Could have blown a fuze. Check it.

wheres the fuse?, wen i first started it, there was some smoke, and there was a small pop wen i pulled the throttle back

There is only 1 fuse. On the right side under the tail plastic. Do not mistake the spare fuse that you will see first. The real fuse is under the rubber boot.

the fuse is fine.. my lights still work, wen i took it out the light went out, wen i put it back in the lights came on, it jsut wont start...all lights work fine

You can put power directly to the starter to see if it is good. If good, look at the starter relay.

relay should be coming directly off your positive terminal on your battery the leading to the starter.   cylinder with posts at the top.  little more stout than a film container but about the same height, usually black.

is it above the motor? or near the battery, theres a canister thing bolted to the frame above the head. how do i check if its bad

should be very close to the battery.    there should be a canister on each side above the head, those are the coils.

on one side of the batery is the fuse and some other stuff, and on the other side is like a small box. i dont see any film canister look alikes

Take the cable running from that to the starter and disconnect it from the  relay.  gently brush it against the positive terminal.  If the starter turns over the starter is fine and it's either the relay or the switch on the handlebar controls, a voltmeter and the wiring diagram is all you need from there.

another thing is that wen i started it up (for the last time) white smoke came off the front ...so idk and i heard a popping sound
