Smoking, that is. I woke up and said "Damn, I'm sick of having a sore throat in the mornings, sick of becoming easily winded during activities that used to be routine".. so I quit. Easy as that.
Cant Wait Until That Day , Im sick of it 2 but i cant give up :(
I'd like to see an honest update everyday on your progress. If you make it past day 3, then you're well on your way. Past day 7 and it's all down hill from there.
good for you, not only will you feel better but prolly will save enough money for a new bike
Sure, I can do that. Honestly, I was never much of a smoker.. on days when I'm not around friends who smoke, I don't smoke... On really stressful days, I'll do about 2 or 3... On nights when I go out drinking... 10-15.. that's what was killing me...
Tell as many people as possible that you quit for good. Makes it harder to start again.
Force yourself to eat a pack of cigarettes, you'll never touch the shaZam! again :icon_mrgreen:
lmao.. sounds disgusting..
Never smoked ciggies but I used to be a demonic chronic bout 10 years ago.Quit for the fear of prison.
I thought quiting was easy. And I gave up smoking (when I was drinking) and chewing in the same day!
Good luck, it can get tough. I was a pack a day smoker and I quit cold turkey about three months ago. The first few days are pretty rough and at about six weeks I had horrible cravings. They passed and now I only have the occasional craving.
Distract yourself!
I only quit because I got back on the bike (road bike...like with pedals). That was the first time I have successfully quit for 2+ months and going.
Good luck with quitting, I know how hard it is :thumb:
After 27 years, I've lost count of how many times I've said "I Quit'.
Did give up for a year once. After that length of time, i had no cravings or any desire to have a smoke again.
Until that one night where i got totally shaZam! faced (a normal weekend for me at the time) & thought
"just one". Just one turned into buying a pack that night.
Trust me when i tell you, if your going to quit, then quit.
Good luck.
