Post by: pantablo on September 07, 2007, 09:38:37 PM
This is from a friend of mine. Bike is in the Los Angeles Area. Ive ridden with him and seen the bike in person. Its a good bike, great deal.

Hey all,

I gotta blow this thing out to make space guys. It needs to be registered, an ignition switch, a part for the seat latch, and a little work to the charging system (needs additional wiring to improve connection), and the bodywork is mostly off. $1500 someone please take it away!

Sparky just did the valve adjustment and went through the carbs, and a couple of other things, so it's like you got $500 worth of service free too.

The bike also has a Penske shock, complete Race Tech fork internals, and a Corbin seat (that accepts back rests). Tires are Pilot Powers and they should have pleny of tread left on them.

The bike's bodywork has a cheap paintjob and original gas tank. It's very presentable for a 17 year old bike with around 50-60k miles, but it's far from a show bike. [edit: bodywork red is slightly off from tank red, barely noticable as you can see in the pics-pantablo]

If you want a great, reliable, comfortable motorycle that is still somewhat sporty and good for two up riding. I doubt you will find a better VFR for $1000 more let alone any other bike.

He has a new R1 and needs room in the garage, otherwise he wouldn't be selling it.
PM me if you or someone you know is interested.

I'd be on it if all the VFR folks hadn't told me it sucks for pillion duty...it'd only cost like $400 to ship it.
