Title: 600 gsx
Post by: jon49337 on September 08, 2007, 05:51:46 PM
I need help getting a 600gsx started. I put a 89 motor into a 94 frame. I used the carbs and ignition off of the 94. The bike is getting fire it cranks and hits but will not fire up and run. I adjusted the valves but I suspect a carb problem either the carbs are pluged (but they worked before the switch) Or they are to big (I had to change the intake boots to make them fit). any ideas.

pull them and see if it runs with starter fluid sprayed into it. im not terribly good when it comes to these things, but the general advice i hear and see is check for spark, pull carbs and spray starter fluid into it, if it turns over and runs, then its your carbs.

It's less confusing with the carbs off.
