Yes, it should have. My 04 came with one. Like others said, it should be under the seat.
My '92 didn't....but who knows how many POs it had...LMAO!!!

I can't figure out why anyone would want to keep the thing away from the bike. The low quality is a big reason to let it go with the bike IMHO.
If the rear fender is busted up like DLW's project, maybe the silly thing fell out and got lost in transit somewhere.
It is fine for what it is, a kit in the event you get stranded on the road somewhere.
If the bike is really busted, it will have to be loaded up and taken to better resources.

A rubber band! Dang! That is what that little slot is for... sheeit. I thought it was doomed to knock around back there every bump I rode over. :icon_mrgreen:

I agree, but I use mine because the weedy little spanners are sometimes the only ones that fit into a tight space where my own spanners won't get a good grip. The pre-load spanner is useful too although I believe there are ways and means if you don't have one... ;)
It took me ages to find and recover my toolkit though. I'd asked the dealer to fit a Renntec rack and the mounting brackets completely block all access to the toolkit. :cookoo: I had to remove the rack to get the toolkit out, so now it stays out.
make your own with better tools, it didn't even come with hex keys for the fairing. The only time i used the tool kit was to get this guys spare tire out from under the truck, His hitch was i the way of the bolt and only had about an inch in b/w- those thin "wrenches" from the tool kit worked like a charm :thumb:

Yep...I don't have the kit but I do have the rubber band/bungie that holds it in place. Its about dry rotted but I do have it...LOL

The hidden end of the band is attached to a clip that bridges the side plastic mounting rails/tubes.

In your case, ebay would be the best move. Once it is torn or wrecked, it's done.
Mine was very dirty after the buy. I washed it in warm soapy water (Dawn detergent), rinsed in warm water, and allowed it to dry. I then took a spray plastic cleaner to it and then some Armour-All to finish it up for looks and preservation.
The ultimate secret is......it has never been outside since I did that. :oops: :laugh:
