So Sexy! ,And i dont ussually like the F models ,
Katana front end ,and Kat Front Wheel , And a Kat/GSxr Shock ! ,
Would look even better!
That is what i have in plan for the winter time!! Also try to fit a GSXR rear wheel...with Pablo's site instructions...anyways thanks for the comments.
Dude, f%$k the kat front end. Get some gold USD's off a Duc monster or newer gixxer. That would work really well with your bike :thumb:
Spot on terry ! some Ducati USD front end , with Brembos , mmmmm
Alright, im a little unfamiliar with your guys lingo...Ducati USD...sounds interesting, forks or just brakes? i kinda like the looks of the Buell brake just one huge one...anyways...interesting non-the less...I feel like i need to upgrade the brakes...so any help would be great.
Not just duc, many brands use em. complete front end. upside down style forks.
Yep terrys correct ,
My stepdad had a 1100 GSXR with Duc Front end , Brembos allround , he had a custom yoke made for them
anything can be used, but i agree the gold would look awesome , i was thinking bout selling my kat front end and finding some gold USD , but i want to start another project soon
Pictures? Prices...difficulty and can i do it myself/ tutorial. Sorry so many questions...im greatly interested.
prices vary. If your lucky you could probably do it for ~$400 or it could cost 1k +
patience is your friend when trying to find a front end and don't be afraid to buy it in pieces.
Difficulty..........moderate. It requires a little bit of mechanical aptitude and shop skills or you could just take the stems and bottom triples to a shop to have them press the GS stem into the new triple.
SO what usd's can fit on the bike with little work to do? I mean i do not mind buying something that is relativly new...Why not a GSXR front end? Ducati sounds nice, but expensive. Anyways, thanks alot guys!
Mr Bob , has a GSXr Front end on his Track Bike , and i believe Dgyver has one on his Street Project
They happen to be extremely Skilled
Stem Pressing , i think is your best bet.
with the Katana , its a really simple swop , hence why i did it ,
My bikes a 1996. if i had a 07 , id of done a brand new swop ! :thumb:
Yeah, the newer GSXR front ends are USD and a few are gold.........They would probably be much cheaper than a Duc front end.......
with the gixxer front end, all you would need to do is bring both bottom triples and stems to a machine shop and have them fit the GS stem into the GSXR bottom triple. they might have to shave it or they might have to make a shim and weld it, either way make sure it's straight.
past that it's all simple really, just putting it all together and putting your controls on the new bars.
Might want to look at bar clearance though as the GSXR is a clip on setup...............hmmmm, maybe an FZ6 front end....................
Sounds interesting, something i may have to consider this winter. GSXR front end sounds good...This opens up the possibilty of a carbon fiber front fender? :icon_razz: Im assuming i will have to have the gsxr front rim on to? I plan to put the gsxr rear wheel on...Anyways, more information would greatly be appriciated...Are the Katana handle bars clip on...
Cheers
Yeah, i would look more towards an FZ........the bar styles are the same so you don't have to worry much about the bars clearing the fairing.......
Although i just found a GSXR front end complete with froks and brakes...off an 03" 50.00$ Anyways, would this be what i want? Or the forks are two short and will hit my fairings...or my tank...

Yep , but u just need 2 make sure the clip ons ., clear the tank or there be trouble . i no frankie G has 89 clip ons , on his F model , so theyre might not be a problem , Dude , that would cost about 400 pounds over here .
Excellent...well now i am set...well hopefully, how can i find out if the clip ons will rub or hit the fairings? Has the length of the 89 forts differ from the 03? B/c if they don;t i will just go ahead and purchase this setup.
Thanx
he has 89 clip ons on a stock gs front end , errm ,
Im sure it would be ok u no , if worse came to worse , mount them abouve the triple , another problem people have is mounting the gauges , i used a acewell digital one
\ does it seem like overkill? I like the idea but i mean progressive springs, ebc pads and rotor, ss line...would that not be enuff? Although im really liking the golden look.... on Pantablo's site he says Bob Boussard did a 01 gszr front end...with no problems...?
can_rizla+. your bike looks awesome!
Hey thanks, i appriciate the comments. AND future suggestions to the front suspension. I love the GS...
i dont think its over kill . better brakes and harder suspension? its a upgrade dude
the fact ur bike looks sexy anyways , gold USD , with twin rotors ,and if ur getting a GSXR rear wheel ,it will match
I have a Katana Front ,harder Suspention , much better brakes , and the rear wheel , is a Bandit 600 as soon as the spacer is sorted ,until then , using the Katana pre 98 rear wheel , which is like a gs wheel
rizla, sweet looking gsf! i have an '05. what kind of front signals are those and where did you find an adapter for them? those look cool. i just got rizoma zeroes for the rear when i chopped my fender but i'm looking for something else in the front.
The Rear light is a LEd with Intergrated SIgnals ,
Dude get some clear LED flush mounts :thumb:
EBAY - i found everything i have on my bike now from ebay, haven't once left my apartment to go to a shop...LOL...anyways the signals are off a GSXR -- as will other parts in the future.
Adapter...i will give you a hint...turn your inside washer outside of the bike...and find (buy) new washers for the inside...fills out that wierd rec-circular shape and leaves you with a nice flush circle... :dunno_white:
- Clear flushmounts...? is that so people have a better view of my turning? I have always thought about that... wait...front or rear?
----> i warn peeople who buy this tail light, the wiring is SHIAT...very cheap and the connectors are worse, i went out and bought a couple new ones..(water proof) and some tie-wraps to postion the resitors under the seat handle...
-CHEERS-
sweet, thanks for the tip. now i know what to do with my front signals! giggitty giggitty... 8)
get the GSXR mirrors with the signals buiilt in , RangerBrown did it, looked smart as u like , and VERY Visable :thumb:
I've got a set of GIXXER mirrors w/ the turn signals in em... From an 06, not a mark. I'll sell em to someone if they want them.
Nice ride- did you rejet your carbs ? Also too where did you get the exhaust?
I want to do the exhaust on mine but can't decide which one to get- Yoshi, Jardine or Staintune.
Get Those GSXR mirrors Rizla!! :thumb:
I dunno, i would rather put the money towards something like a fatter rear tire or better handeling...AHAHAHA or even the race course up in shannonville...if there are any torontonians in the crowd..you'll know what i mean.
So its either a Kat wheel swop ,. for the 160 Max rear tire
or a front end swop , or just some Progressive or Racetech front springs :thumb:
Oh and put a New rear shock in , the stock ones Junk
i've noticed...
Thanks a MILLION to Ajaxgs for hooking me up with progressive springs AND adjusting my rear shock (i guess my woman hands were to fraile to adjust it) Thanks again!
- CHEERS -
Where did you get the Progressive Springs?
Curious to know how much they were.
Is the ride that much better with them?
Thxs

AJAXGS <-- i bought the springs from this person and he got them from a store down south?!?!? I haven't put them on yet since i just got them today. But i noticed a great difference in our bike (me and ajaxgs) when we both had them side by side to compare. It was suggested that i cut the spacer at 1 1/4 inch and add washers to increase the suspension (fine tuning) Anyways thanks again ajaxgs for all your help in making my suspension troubles easy.
Your chosen parking spot is pretty cocky. Nice looking bike too, for an F.
:)
hey ...not a prob.... good to meet you ...bike looks great !! hook up for a ride sometime in the future before snow flys ....
the bike sounds great with the new exhaust ..
