Title: A thank you and a greeting
Post by: DeeJRedE on September 12, 2007, 11:44:39 AM
I bought my frist bike an 06 GS500F earlier this year and since then i have been lurking this site for any and all information about this bike. I just want to thank anyone who has posted anything about exhaust, jetting, air filters, clip-on handle bars, sprockts and general maintenance. Especially Galahs and Wrecent Wryder for answering my PM's, their info helped a ton when i stated jetting. But any way, I'm A.j. and I just want to say hi to all. I probably wont be posting much, due to my busy work schedule and my minimal amount of knowedge when it comes to motorcyles. (Im more of a car knowedge guy) But I do look forward to adding my 2 cents when i can. Thanks again and hopefully ill see some of you down the road :thumb:

Welcome indeed!

Before I bought a bike, GSTwin was a heavy influence for me.

Now Pandy is the only reason I hang out here... :kiss3:

AJ is a friend for ages now. I met him through a car club way back when, after we already got infected with the auto / moto enthusiast bug.

The reason for this post, is I recently acquired AJ's GS500F that was part of a skid accident and is now in my possession to be ridden this coming motorcycle season.

My name is Kalvin.

I have been in the auto scene for years, and am also somewhat new to the moto scene. I have been reading a ton on here... One thing worth mentioning is that my first bike was a 2001 Yamaha R6 that was in pristine condition. This was a couple of years ago, I acquired the motorcycle prior to taking the safety class or getting my class M. I ended up oversleeping on my last day of testing and never received a motorcycle license. I rode the R6 illegally for a few weeks and then sold it to another kid that I am sure enjoyed it to its full potential.

2015 was the year for me to get my act together and actually get my class M. The R6 used to scare me qute a bit and I thought the GS500 would be a perfect going to work bike as well as learner.
Anyway this is what brings me here.
Hopefully someone sees this.
Thanks!
