Saw you riding a GSF heading east on Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee, KS. You were wearing a wifebeater (or tanktop for those PC people), bandana, and sunglasses. It was pretty close to the intersection of SM Parkway and Nieman Rd. Can't remember the color of the bike. Do you post here?
I'm not the person on the GSF in Shawnee but I live in the Stanley area (151st & 69 in OP). Any idea how many GSTwin members live near KC? I'm on a Black '00. Bone stock except for a "Targa-like" upper fairing and a loud-ass stock exhaust. I guess one of the previous owners drilled and punched out the baffles. I see Moms grab their children whenever I cruise through neighborhoods.
You doing the Bikers for Babies ride on Sunday?

I've talked to two other members so far that live in the KC area. There is a guy that I work with that owns a GSF, but I don't think he posts on this forum. I would like to ride in Bikers for Babies, but I've got to work on Sunday. Also, I've got my bike tore down right now. I'm adjusting my jetting, cleaning my air filter, and adjusting my valve clearances. I should have it back together before Sunday, depending on whether local dealers have the shim sizes that I need. 98.9 has been really pushing Bikers for Babies on the Morning Show for the last couple weeks. I'm hoping to be able to do it next year. Are you doing the ride on Sunday?
KC MO here. 91 in pieces... I'll be back on the road next season.
I'm gonna hijack my own thread and turn it into a: If you live in the KC metro area, or close by, post here.
So, If you live in, or near, the KC metro area...post it up.

Yea, it looks like the weather's going to be nice.
I'm supposed to ride with my buddy who's got a CBR600 and hangs with the supersport knee-dragging crowd. I'm still a new rider and prefer a more laid back ride at this point. I think with all the mix of bikes for this event it will be more of a pleasure ride. He said last year there was a sea of motorcycles and it was spectacular.
Hey, for those in KC Metro checking in, also tell where you like to ride for fun.
Thanks,
BH

Check some of the posts near the end of this thread for ideas on places to ride. I don't think they're too abundant round here. I've also heard that Shawnee Mission Lake has good twisties.
