seriously, make me an offer!!
1987 gix750, full yoshimura exhaust, oversized carbs off a 92 gix1100, new tires, new coils, streetfightered, front end off a 93 gix
Only one problem, the seal behind the ignition rotor needs to be replaced. I'm tired of messing with this bike and the shop wants an ungodly amount to replace that seal. So, if you're looking for a project here it is!!!
Help!!!!! I need to sell this thing to come up with some cash for a down payment on a 919.
Make me an offer!
$5 and a case of yeungling?
$50 and I'll even come pick it up. :thumb:

Pictures might help facilitate the sale?

Sounds like it might be a good deal. If it was a bit closer I think I would buy it :thumb:
How About Sticking it up your Ass. :thumb:
Dude, peachfuzz, thanks.
I hadn't looked at that!!!
The dealer told me they wanted a cosigner because of my age :icon_confused: and lack of verifiable employment :icon_rolleyes:
I'm PM'ing him right now about it.
Tel??
Whats so difficult about changing the seal? Have the cases gotta be split?
Yup, the engine has to be pretty much completely ripped apart :icon_confused:
Tel
I guessed so. I dont wanna preach to you but non runners are cheap for a reason, dont be fooled by the hype. They are worth little more than their weight in scrap. I dont pay more than £50 for a non-runner regardless of age/make/model etc. The rule is to look at a non-runner purely as a breaker, if you can get it running you have made money, if not you can sell it in bits and at least break even. If the seller wants silly money for it tell them to stop taking the piss and walk away.
Best thing you can do is try to reel in a sucker, lie like f*** to him/her, try to sell it sold as seen and claw some cash back, or if you have the space/time break it it for bits but I honestly cant see you getting 2k back for a 20yr old non runner. Either way, put it down to experience and dont get caught out again mate.
I buy and sell bikes as a hobby and a sideline, it will never make me a millionaire but the money I do make pays for holidays etc. The last non runner I bought cost me £30, I put £180 into it in parts, a few weekends of spanner wan***g, and an MOT and I sold it a few weeks later for £495.......that buys a lot of beer/curry/kebabs.
Yeah, I'm thinking I'll just part it out. :thumb: Mark this one down as a learning experience :icon_confused:
I've got a lead on a 599 from a dealer that'll let me put a deposit down and then pay it off come the first of the year :thumb:
I should probably lay off the riding till the holidays are over anyway, the family is seriously stressed about me riding. :icon_rolleyes:
