Title: Extended Warranty Tranferable?
Post by: Yev on September 15, 2007, 01:41:18 PM
Hey guys,

This upcoming weekend I'm going to buy my first bike (05 gs500f) and the owner of it has an extended warranty until 2010. They said it is transferable but how do I make sure?

Thanks,
Yev

well.. I work at a Suzuki dealer and I "sometimes" do the finance and sell warranties  :icon_mrgreen:

Yes, It should be transferable  :thumb: you should get in touch with the dealer he bought it from they will have a record of the warranty and should offer to transfer it to you at no charge. Be sure that he transfers the warranty to you! Its not automatic and he can cancel it and get a refund for the unused portion if he wants.

So in short, YES!

funny you should ask, Suzuki sent me in snail mail a note to advise me that on the date of purchase the factory warranty was transfered to my name (lol I bought it back in march)...they are slow but they do it automatically it seems....
