Title: Speedometer Swap from Km/hr to Ml/hr
Post by: Toshipenguin on September 16, 2007, 07:41:57 PM
I just purchased a 1992 Gs500e (Canadian edition).  Unfortunately, it came with km/hr...  Not too useful in here in Seattle.

Do you know if I can simply swap the speedometers?  Or do I need to other things?

Thanks,
Tony

They have different internal gearing. Just swap them.

Over here you can get a stick-on thingy that only costs a few coppers.

On my new bandit you just press a button !

Do you have  a recommendations as to where to purchase a speedometer?  All the local (seattle) places charge over $200.00

I'll also search label maker thing...

Thanks everyone!

>Toshi:
why not try
1)eBay
2)posting a "WTB mph speedometer" in the "for sale/for trade section"?
Maybe someone who's parting out a GS is willing to sell you one. ;)
Good luck searching. ;)
