it can be fixed by any legit machine shop but the problem is that it will require repainting/recoating. It will be cheaper to buy a used one off ebay

Will's Rim Repair (864-787-1351) does them for $60 flat rate. Not sure about shipping since he is local to me. He has straightened several wheels for me, better than from the factory. He is probably the cheapest in the nation, some charge by time. I would not recommend him if he did not do such good work. None of the factory paint was damaged. One wheel had been repainted and the yellow paint was darkened from the heat.

Like IBabe said... I would look for new wheels. Probably come out cheaper.

Would it cause any serious problems even if its jsut a small bump on the lip? i rode it home and nothing seemed to be different.

Depending on how deep. The lip can be bent out some as well. I would check the pressure to see if it drops. If you do not feel any hopping, you should be good.

I have front wheel from a track bike with a noticable dent. I never could tell it was damaged when riding but could see it without spinning it. The tire is shagged to the edge.

I'll keep a close eye on the air pressure. I took another look at it and it looks very minor, you cant seen the dent on the rear rim i just feel it with my fingers. heres the best pic i could get of the front rim. http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/6425/img1561be0.jpg (http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/6425/img1561be0.jpg)

Tough to tell completely but looks like just the lip is bent out. Just watch the pressure.

I've had a small dent on the rear rim lip with no pressure loss ,eventually was taken care of with a hammer and a piece of wood (it was bulging outwards)

Right now they seem to be holding air pretty good, i'll let you know if things change frank. Does the stealership sell touch-up paint, i scrapped it on the road in a turn- i have no clue how as i was only leaning maybe half way.
