I do appreciate all the help I have gotten from this forum!! I am a beginner and dont have a lot of expierence riding or fixing but, I am a poor college student so, if I want to ride I have got to fix. My bike is running good but, it dies if I dont stay on the throttle a little bit. It seems like it is idling way low. Also, First no problem, second, no problem, third gear though, I have to sometimes try a few times to get it to go into third. Sometimes I run through the gears no prob and sometimes I pull up for third, let off the clutch expecting to be in third only to be surprised and thrown forward a bit because Im still in second. I may be doing something wrong and if so please dont call me a moron :) It dosent sound like most sport bikes. Is this a GS500 thing?? Its like in between a cruiser and a sport. Its not grumbly and deep sounding like a harley or other cruiser. It is also not high pitched like most sport bikes I hear. I only mention it because I thought it may be a symptom of its issues. I really enjoy riding so, I am going to keep riding it no matter but, I want it to be right. Thank you for all your help guys!!!!

Oh an what slip-on exhausts will fit a 94 GS500??
Its a two cylinder , most sports bikes * R1 ,GSXR ,Honda Fireblade, Etc ,are inline 4's with four Cylinders , And alot of cruisers and a Few Sports bikes are V twins , * Im really tired so i cant think *
The gear problem may come down to what sort of Oil u use ,
Hope this helps
Everytime I start experiencing shifting issues it always come back to oil. I change the oil and the problem goes away. This has happened on my Goldwing and my GS. The length of time between oil changes is not only the recommended service spec, but is highly influenced by your riding style. If you've just recently changed your oil you might consider the type you put in it. You get what you pay for.
