Title: carbon fiber?
Post by: threatrockone on August 08, 2003, 05:32:17 PM
does anyone know where carbon fiber parts are made for the gs (or other bikes). being on numerous sailboats and seeing carbon fiber on all the race boats, just curious. i think it would be pretty cool to have carbon fiber handlebars......

It might be possible to mount some carbon fiber mountain bike bars, but I'm not sure if the diameter is right.
There is nothing specifically made for the GS. I'm sure you could make something from another bike fit.
You can get carbon fiber cloth off ebay pretty reasonable. Just buy the proper resin and make your own pieces.

I agree!

Although, if you work with fiberglass, you should have no problem with carbon fiber. They are pretty much the same. Except the top layer of carbon fiber is cosmetic(most of the time)
