My Home made Aluminum Dash looks something like that but i dont have the Big holes cut yet, i have about a 45 degree bend near the mounting area to angle it right. i like the hex screws, looks good. My dash is 1/4" thick, so its alittle hard to work with hand held tools.

i got the front plate 3mm thick and the plate behind is 10mm thick. Didn't make it with handheld tools, i got a whole workshop at work i can use :) (verry handy)

Can you take the glass out of your speedo and tach? Mine is kind of dirty on the inside and I couldnt figure out how to get the glass out.

it's possible
you have to take the speedo out and bend the black ring up all around
