Title: V&H slip-on S4 on Ebay - Buy it now = $199

I just saw this. It is made for a Yamaha R6 and according to GS500 wiki it should fit the GS500 with some slight modification.

V&H has the MSRP at $310.  PipeCity sells it for $283. 

Anyone know a good reason not to buy this can?

Wondering this same thing. Wiki doesn't specify what years will work. Does anyone know if the '99-'02 R6 slip on will work?

doesnt this install require either a) the Srinath plate or b) some fab work on the part of the installer?

Looks like it would have to be the '99-'02, as the '03 and up doesn't go nearly far enough under the bike.
