So the wheels on my Tacoma are a bit pitted, I think I used something the finish didn't like, maybe Simple Green :dunno_white: This truck is by no means perfect, and I'm cheap, so I don't really want to spend a lot, but would maybe like to fix this problem. Here's a couple pictures from when I got the truck.

All my options that I came up with are listed above. I was thinking maybe charcoal would look good with the black truck, but a photoshop of that would be nice to check out first. I'd probably use a rattlecan wheel coating for something like this. If anyone wants to help with that, I'd appreciate it. I could probably take a new picture if that would help any.
I like the idea of getting rims off a newer 6 lug toyota, but I just bought tires for my 15" wheels which I'd have to turn around and sell or something since all the newer 6 lugs are 16"+ Again, it would help to see something like this photoshopped first.
IDK about steel rims, it was just a thought, again not sure if they would look any good. I was thinking black if I went this route.
Let me know what you think, again any PS help would be appreciated
ps. let me know if you can't view the pics
First choice of mine was to leave them on, it a high milage truck. 2nd choice was paint them black. For some crazy reason black rims look cool on tacomas, there is one here at work that is green with black rims, even has a winch on the front. Tacomas are my favorite trucks of all time.
Anthracite wheel paint from advance auto parts.....
i've done 4 bike frames in that color... love it
what do you expect.... you live up NORT
I bet you have to torch every chassis bolt to get it/them free
This thing's been a lot better than my last couple of cars... I don't think I've stripped/broken off a chassis bolt yet! But yeah could be the salt just eating at the clearcoat on the wheels
I am going to paint my Tacoma wheels black and polish the lip :thumb:
