Some a@@clown stole my license plate recently!! I reported it stolen and they can't use it now so what's the point?? :dunno_white:
I reported it stolen and it will be replaced for free, but what kind of person steals a motorcycles license plate?
That sucks..
maybe it fell off?
That's a new one to me!
I guess, when you really need your hit, and considering the price of metal nowadays, it's a bargain.
Oh I think that may have been me...did you want it back?
No, but seriously. I need to get my bike licensed. I have to drive it across town tomorrow to get it to the Suzi shop for an inspection so I can get it licensed. I could put it up on my truck, but it's a pain so I'll take my chances.
Sorry about the license plate. Atleast they are givin you a new one for freeZ
but what kind of person steals a motorcycles license plate?

Another GS500 rider with no rego, no insurance who does not like to pay for fuel, either that or all of a sudden your bike has grown into a (stolen) GSXR that likes to do hold ups. I hate to think of the mail you will get in the next few months, possibly.
Here in the UK there have been alot of cases recently due to metal prices rising particularly lead. Things like lead flashing and also lightning conductors.
In Yorkshire there has been a case where a gang stole the lead roofing off a church, melted it down and sold it back to china who then sold the lead panels which were used to replace the roofing on the church! This happened like 3 times in a row the church was targeted and the roofing stolen. Forensic scientists found traces of the original lead roof in the lead panels which replaced the roof everytime. They caught the gang in the end but jeeze what a clever idea and they made a fortune out of it. Musta bin hard though de-roofing a church :o
Also been cases of people ripping lightning conductors off the walls of tall buildings, when they can't reach any higher they chop it off and go sell it as scrap metal to get a hit.
Out here there's been an increase in theft of car number plates due to the increased fuel prices.
Because of Chinas increased use of metals and supplies, the cost of lead keeps increasing, which means that my shooting supplies keep costing me more.
Hey I just read recently that a group of guys out in Florida were stealing bikes, the police nabbed the group which is good but still too many thieves thieving. If I were you I would be glad they did'nt steal the bike. I know it sucks, I used to have a 62 VW and the mirrors were always getting ripped of. Remember there was a post about spark plugs getting ripped off too. Maybe the same tweakers are now doing plates too. Tweakers do suck. Anyway I am glad it was only the plate and not the bike. Have a beer and flirt with the DMV lady and forget about it.
It's like the people that steal the coper wires from telephone and power lines, the ones that go for the power lines get fried
