I have some racing equipment for sale on another forum. I asked for reasonable offers on the stuff I posted. One member comes back offering $150 for a set of tires, a clutch, and a portable electric starter (this is all for a competition go kart). Granted this stuff is used, do people really think I'm are that stupid that I would except such a lowball offer??? Sorry I just needed to rant . Feeling a little better now
This is like going home and bitching to your buddies about your girlfriend lol
Yea I guess, just need to vent.
It's not that unreasonable. If they want to get you to come down they need to start low...then you shoot them back a number and so on. Or if you think your prices are fair then tell him the lowest you would possibly go. And he'll know if he either wants to take you up on that or go somewhere else. I'm cheap. I like getting good deals. You never know how much someone needs the money so I don't see a problem with atleast trying to talk someone down.
yeah, as a buyer it never hurts to ask...
I don't know, it just seems unreasonable to make an offer that low on 3 items that could easily sell for that price each. I can understand looking for something cheap but when someone askes for reasonable offers you gotta have some common sense...right? :dunno_white: Maybe i'm wrong but if someone was selling say a 05 GS with 5000 mi. and asked for resonable offers I wouldn't go in with an offer of $300....
Reasonable to someone else may not be reasonable to you. If you do not want to get unreasonable offers then set a price. Sometimes you get what you ask for.
because there are people who will sell or buy at the cheapest. welcome to the electronic age. if u want it sold fast drop the price if u want lots of $$ be prepared to wait
some people may not actually have a clear understanding of the value of the items you're selling. maybe they think, "hey, i'm gonna take up go-cart racing as a hobby." and jump on the first parts and such they see available and do no actuall reasearch on the subject. set a price. i'd set it higher than what you're actually willing to settle for. someone may give you more, if not, you can be talked down to your lowest acceptable amount. an amount that only you truly know. good luck with the sale. :thumb:
