Nice looking bike.  He says it was imported into the US but the bike seems to say otherwise...

$1,800 comes to mind.  However, the exterior of the bike was PRISTINE.  Assuming the mechanics were equally well taken care of, it was a good buy.  I had to think about it for a minute when I saw the photos.   :)

Try kbb.com too.   :thumb:

If you buy one I'm gonna have to ride out to Rolla to see it.   :icon_mrgreen:

I'll post pictures once I get it...then maybe you don't have to make the drive...though I'd be up for a ride.

It is a 400 that has roughly 20% more rear wheel hp than a GS500 and turns better.  Yeah, I got one too. That PITA is that it is a rare bike and finding used parts is pointless since they are so old. I needed a starter this year, and bought 3 used starters (circa 1992) before deciding to rebuild the one I had.

400s kick ass and would recommend one to anyone. If you want a small sportsbike - particularly for the track then you dont get much better. Almost the same performance as a 600 in a bike lighter and smaller. My ZXR400 puts down 70bhp (slight mods) but standard is 65bhp. And will wind its way up to 140+ mph at 14700rpm.

They are not slow, infact seriously quick!
