Title: Two requests for the our GS500 Wiki website------------>>>
Post by: mike07gs500f on October 12, 2007, 01:37:59 PM

1.  The installation of sliders to the engine bolts thru the fairings...(modification of the fairing as required) step by step instruction w/ pics.

and

2.  Changing your GS500F to a naked bike....step by step detailed instruction's w/ pics again. (as oppose to that FAQ thread where it has like 4 pictures)

I feel, this would benefit the newbie riders such as myself. And heck, the wiki has everything else?? why not something so basic beginner as this???   :dunno_white:

thanks in advance....

I have recently converted from F to E - and honestly, I don't know that there's much to write about.  I had no resources to go off (other than the photos you mentioned) and pretty much no previous experience with maintaining motorcyles and even then it was a total walk in the park.

I mean, you pretty much just unbolt the fairings, remove the front fairing bracket and install the front headlights of your choice.  There are no hidden surprises at all.

If you read through the wiki, you'll notice credits at the bottom of each page.  These are the people who wrote or contributed to that page.  Like frankie said, the whole point is that anybody can edit these pages and change things.

If you'd like to add something or think something you've done would be helpful to others, please do so.  And if it's not there, either try it yourself and be adventurous like the others said, or PM people who have already done so and ask them for tips.

exactly my point. thanks for making it.

so that people dont have to ask about sliders, and how to install them. Its something I feel that all new riders an new owners are going to ask and seek out.
