hey all... so I'm pricing insurance, and its rediculous... I checked progressive and they want $815 a year for liability only on a 93 gs500... seems rediculous to me! any suggestions of good places to look? thanks! I'm 18, so I know I'm gonna get screwed either way... I've searched only to find a bunch of older guys talking about insurance prices that dreams are made of.
check geico, mc graw (search google - otherwise known as pacific speciality), even AAA will have better rates.
Progressive quoted me 3K for my 2001 full coverage, needless to say I went with geico ~ 700/yr for full coverage.
wonderful.. thanks for the help
I have Progressive and pay $220 a year for full coverage. 2001 model.
(in Louisiana)
Hey saxman,
I'm in the bay area and have a '93 gs500. I have liability with Geico for I think $128/yr. I'm 36.
check bike-line.com&motorcycleservices.com,most of the time they have great rates. :thumb:
New to the board and just picked up a 2002 GS. Progressive was around 2200 for full coverage for me, Geico came in at 650, however wouldn't write comprehensive coverage. Guessing because I dont keep the bike at my house, but not sure just cant let the thing get stolen.
Well I used to pay 120 /yr for liability only with 2 tickets for the GS with progressive when I was in CA. The best thing was each added bike cost me just 8-10 bucks more with them. When I started the policy I was 27. But the rates went up when I got the 2 ticks. I was 33 when I last had them.
Cool.
