so since I put my gixxer rearsets on the pegs are not inline. One foot if about an inch foward and I even made made another bracket putting the brake side about an inch back and still nothing, what gives .... Before I had both side and plates identical and they where off when I put them on the bike so Im stuck.....could it be im sitting off center or uneven......could it be that cause my front end is a lil off(right handle bar is closer to me due to a tweaked left fork) and im sitting inline with the bars but not the pegs.... any advice
Sounds like your crazy...
Measure from a fixed point, like the passenger peg to the rearset, then do it on both sides, if its different well, make a bracket.
I tried that from those little silver plugs right infront of the rearsets and they wewre both the same. IDK I must be loosing it.
The mounting hole locations for the rear sets are symmetrical.
hmmmmmm :dunno_white:
When I built my luggage rack, I noticed that the stock pegs on my bike don't line up. One is about an in back from the other one.
I think Suzuki dropped the ball on that one. I've been thinking of building some type of bracket to line them up.
I can't remember which one is the trailing one. I'll look tomorrow and post it.

How on EARTH? can your pegs not be inline. Pegs mount to the frame, frame is symmetrical otherwise bike would handle like crap. Therefore pegs must be inline.
Actually the pegs are mounted to brackets that are mounted to the frame.
If the brackets aren't right, the pegs would be off.
^^^ what he said
they make the original rearsets off from each other and when you bolt them on they are inline, Im assuming the 04 gixxer rearsets are most likly not off from each other.
OK, not sure what's going on with Mach1's pegs but I figured out what was wrong with mine.
Seems the Bracket and or the frame was slightly tweaked, causing the left peg to angle forward just a bit. With a tape it was right at 1/2 inch at the tip.
I can tell that my bike has been down on that side before. The engine case has a slight scratch on it.
Mach1, you might check to see if anything is bent. I took a bar and gently tweaked it back into position.

its possible my bike was layed down on the left side. that may be it
when I bought my gs the pegs where off... I found the offending peg and pushed it back (metal bracket was bent out from a dropped I surmised) realigned it right and all is well
