Can anyone help?? Turns out after reading its something not so easy to do. And the dealer isnt cheap for repair of this nature....
I am almost certain the carbs are plugged (sorry another carb thread). I have tried the switch in the prime position and using a 1/2 can of sea foam in the gas tank.
Nothing.....
giving me the bucking motion. Wont idle at all with choke off after a long warm up. and ive ran the engine about 10 miles with the sea foam in the tank.
Problem still presists.
if anyone could help in the area. please let me know, thanks.
If it will run, 1-2 tank fuls will have to be run through. 10 miles wont do.
If you got some solid crap, like a grain of snad, even that wont do, mechanically cleaned is the only option.
I usually replace the float bolts with allen head, so you can pull it off and clean it.
Cool.
Srinath.
WOW the carbs on an 07 are already clogged, how is that? Its pretty easy and you able to learn as you go. Just remove the carbs and turn them over remove rge float bowl screws and start cleaning all the small holes with something small.
dang..
any video of this somewhere??
ive seen the wiki's...and that does helps. but a video would be great like that video of valve adjusting.

Is that a gentle hint? :icon_rolleyes: I could give it a shot, but it would be for '99 carbs ... and it sure wouldn't be ready anytime soon. (http://bbburma.net/Smilies/dunno_black.gif)

but i would think a cleaning carb video would be much more sot after..... and I as well would great appreciate it. :)
Shouldn't this still be warranty work?
I'm in the Cerritos/Fullerton area, unfortunately, I'm in need of some carb cleaning training also. Not to be an ass, but are you sure you got enough gas? Mine would die even though it looks like there are plenty of gas in the tank. Hard to imagine a 07 giving you that much problems.
I saw your post about the carb cleaning, I attend a class at Eaglerider Motorcycles regarding maintenance. Last week we had a pretty good carb class where we cleaned and rebuilt carburetors. Since you are in Fullerton you might be interested in the future about the class. Eaglerider is in El Segundo. You can contact them and they will set you up with the instructor. THe class just uses the facility, Eaglerider is cool enough to provide a place to learn. :thumb: I am definately not trying to sell anyone on the class, I am just informing those who want to learn where they can go if they dont have any other way.
