The cb was the coolest one I saw today. This was only a 30 minute blast around town to warm up the chain for service. Man I love Saturday mornings before the traffic picks up.
*** So - what did you see, or what was the coolest ? Yours doesn't count ! *** ;)
Ride on.
GS500F 2006 -- 1up (gear) black/silver ---- Oh wait that was me O0
I wasn't riding this morning, but I'll list some of the bikes I saw.
Ninja(no idea what size) 2000s - 1 up, full gear, can't remember color (it was pretty early)
HD Softail Heritage 2000s - 1 up, helmet, street clothes, also can't remember color
HD Sportster 1000 1982 - 1 up, no gear, mechanics clothes, red/chrome (I talked to the owner at Subway during my lunch break)
HD Electra Glide Ultra ?? - 2 up, half helmets, leather, red
Ducati Monster 2000s - 1 up, full gear, black
2 or 3 other Misc. HD's that I didn't get a good look at.
Coolest bike: Definitely the 82 Sporty. It was customized out the ass. Fatbob tank with console; custom drag bars w/ risers; custom levers, mirrors, pegs; aftermarket pipes; S&S carb. Very clean and very trick. Wish it wasn't red, but what can you do?
Saw two Ducati Hypermotards and a '59 HD (flat-track racer), both at Alice's during lunch. The Duc riders were wearing good gear but the HD guy wasn't. Plenty of other assorted bikes, but then again, this is what it usually looks like on weekends.

ducati hypermotard

Nothing really interesting yesterday.
BMW F-650
'07 Gixxer
That was all I saw in 150 miles. I guess all the wannabe's have packed it in for the year. It was 28 yesterday.
1975 CB550 four that my friend just bought. 2 70's RD350's and an 87 EX250 first generation.
none of em were on the road, but they were sure noteworthy.
In all seriousness:
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
Harley somethng-glide
...and maybe a Harley or two that wasn't a glide variant.
Those must be awesome bikes because in approx 40 miles of riding all I saw were harley xxx-glides, every color, every setup, all with the distinctive front end.
The last group I passed was maybe 6 riders, all on glides. I started laughing my ass off. When I waved (as I usually do to passing riders when I'm on a flat straight) I got a look that said if we could turn these bikes around on this two-lane street we'd roll right over you.
The rest were cool, though, especially the two that pulled over to see if I needed help after I lowsided (grumble grumble, no damage but still picking leaves out of the chain) in a much sharper than expected turn.
Still, felt like the twilight zone. I was afraid when I parked for the day that when I came back my bike would be replaced with a glide.
I saw a couple of Harleys, a GSXR or two and a few liter ninjas today. Usually, I see a lot of Hayabusas around here for some reason too.

I'm assuming you are talking about Electra Glides and Street Glides. A LOT of Harley bikers like the touring line that HD puts out. They're comparable in price to touring models that Honda and Yamaha put out so they don't feel like they're getting jacked around as much in the price.
If you are talking about Dyna Super Glides and Wide Glides, then I'm not sure. Most people will buy Softails before they get Dynas, even though Dynas have better handling and slightly better performance numbers. The motors aren't balanced in the Dynas so they vibrate a little more than the softails as well.
Saw a Ducati 1098 riding the other way out of town yesterday, i was so excited i nearly wet my pants....
God i want one its not f'in fair!!
Ducati Hypermotard, few misc sportbikes..
