Title: Hi-Flo Filtro
Post by: recursive_name on November 05, 2007, 02:21:50 PM
I've seen a couple posts about the delightfully named (and delightfully cheap) hi-flo filtro air filter.

1)Anyone who's used it: any problems with it?  I dig the $30 savings over a K&N, but we all know you generally get what you pay for.
2)Is this the right one for my '04 F?  http://www.bikebandit.com/product/A5421534  ?  It says it fits from 1988-2005, but but hasn't the airbox shaped changed over that time?  How can it fit 'em all?

Thanks for your help everyone!  I've only had my GS for a few weeks, and I've leaned quite a lot so far from this board.

I've been using this filter for a while. It doesn't increase the performance too much although it flows a little bit better than stock filter.
It basically is a paper filter which is used as a replacement for stock filter. It fits right into your airbox(at least in my 2004 bike)
If you want more power go with K&N lunchbox (RU-2970 if I remember correctly) it is also very cheap(between $30-40) and flows wayyyyyy better than stock and hiflofiltro.
hope that helps
cheers
