One of my coworkers brought this to my attention. It happened around 7:30 PM, which means it was pitch black on this two-laner in the middle of the Great Basin (west desert) portion of Utah. I can't imagine how his wife must have felt when she found him.... :cry:

We have the same problem with kangaroos, hit one of those suckers and if you're lucky you'll end up in hospital.

I've had two close calls with roos.
One at night, jumped right across infront of me.
the 2nd was at dusk, a big male roo was standing on the middle of the road staring me down as I came round a fast bend. Hit the anchors and pulled up probably 5 meters short of him. Then he just casually jumped into the scrub (then a female one joined him)
