Title: FS: Replacement Carb Screws -- Allen Head
Post by: trumpetguy on November 07, 2007, 09:24:21 PM
I bought a quantity of allen head screws to replace the carburetor float bowl screws and rail screws on my GS.  If the heads on your carb screws are as messed up as mine were, these are just the ticket -- they are perfect for repeated assembly/disassembly if you're messing with jets.  They are black oxide finish, and are the same length and thread as the stock (philips head) screws.

If anyone wants some, let me know.  They are $0.50 each plus actual postage.  Send me a PM if interested.

Rails dont need swapping as a common rule ... if you're taking it off the rails to do anything other than replace the T fitting then somehting is wrong, The bowls, yup, need allen heads.
BTW I know its 89-00 but please post that also, to be clear, the 01+ bowls had different ones.
Cool.
Srinath.

My bike is a 98, so I have the 89-00 screws.  Sorry I did not include that.  It's in my sig, but I could have been more specific!

I mentioned the rail screws only because I actually swapped out my bowl screws for those.  The heads on my bowl screws were really messed up -- I was not the first one there.

Thanks for the clarification, Srinath!
